Pancakes are enjoyed the world over, they are particularly popular one particular day every year, Shrove Tuesday, or ‘Pancake Day’.
On Shrove Tuesday it is traditional for people to enjoy sweet fillings in their pancakes such as sugar, lemon, fruit and ice cream.However, in many countries pancakes are also a great base for savoury dishes, France being a classic example.
Ireland is another country that enjoys their own spin on the savoury pancake. There are several recipes that will make a great meal out of pancakes.

Ingredients
4 medium sized potatoes, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup all purpose flour
2/3 cup milk
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon butter
5oz smoked salmon
1 fresh Lemon , cut into quarters
Creme Fraiche
Fresh Dill
