An Irish chef appeared on Canadian TV to show to create some delicious dishes to serve on St Patrick’s Day.
Clodagh McKenna was chatting with Anne-Marie Mediwake on Your Morning and they decided to do something special for the millions of Canadians of Irish descent.
McKenna showed how to make two course one savoury and the other sweet. She started with a Guinness onion soup with Irish cheddar croutons, before moving on to a mouth-watering chocolate pudding with stout and pistachio.
Mediwake quipped: “My favourite is the Irish cheddar, but you had me at Guinness.”
The pair discussed how St Patrick’s day is celebrated in their respective countries. Mediwake said that in Canada the beer and milkshakes are always green to mark March 17.
McKenna told her that in Ireland the drinks aren’t necessarily green but that there are plenty of celebrations, with families getting together for a large meal.
They then set to on the St Patrick’s Day menu.
Both the soup and the chocolate pudding looked fantastic and we can’t wait to give them a try.
