Home cooked Irish Potato & Cheese Dinner Rolls are a delicious way to add a bit of traditional Irish flavour to your meal.
In this video, Irish chef Donal Skehan teams up with Sarah Lynn from the Domestic Geek. Together they take us step by step to make an Irish meal of both savoury and sweet courses.
Donal takes us through the savoury part to meal, showing us how to make a tasty Irish cheddar and potato yeast rolls.
His video also introduces American chef Sara Lynn who talks us through the dessert – chocolate stout cupcakes with Irish cream frosting in a second video.
Both courses look delicious and are really easy to make thanks to the great instructions from Donal and Sara.
Irish Potato & Cheese Dinner Rolls Ingredients
100 g potatoes
25 g fresh yeast or 15 g dry yeast
50 g sugar
450 g white flour (warm the flour in a warmed bowl if it has been stored in a cool place)
1 tsp salt
50 g butter
150 ml warmed milk
1 egg, beaten
Milk for glazing
100g of cheddar cheese, grated

Chocolate stout cupcakes with Irish cream frosting Ingredients
For the cupcakes:
1 cup Irish stout
1 cup butter, softened
¾ cup cocoa powder
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups flour
1½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 eggs
¾ cup sour cream
For the frosting:
¾ cup butter, softened
3-4 cups icing sugar
3 tbsp Irish cream liqueur
