A 19-year-old Irish dancer delighted guests at a wedding by treating them to a remarkable performance.
David Geaney, originally from Dingle, Co Kerry is a professional dancer and is currently a part of Irish singing and dancing show ‘Celtic Steps’. He is a five time world-champion Irish dancer.
He was attending a wedding in Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick in 2014. At the reception he cleared a space on the dance floor and performed a three minute Irish dance routine.
A guest at the reception recorded his performance and uploaded the clip to YouTube. It currently has had nearly 20,000 hits.
It isn’t unusual for people to show off their dance moves at wedding receptions, especially as the drinks start flowing. There are usually one or two who really fancy themselves as great dancers. However, they’re not usually as outstanding as Geaney.
