For sweet tooths among us, there are not many things that sound more delicious than a slice of Baileys Irish cream cheesecake.
It is a gift that keeps on giving.
Not only does it have all the classic ingredients of a cheesecake, such as the crumbly biscuit, the sweet cheese, the chocolate or caramel topping and the optional piece of fruit, but it is also made with Ireland’s sweetest alcoholic beverage Baileys Irish cream.
It’s the dessert that has the lot, so it is not surprising that there are several recipes and videos offering advice on how to make the perfect Irish cream cheesecake.
Baileys cheesecake recipe
The video we have selected suggests the following ingredients:
250g / 9oz of Digestive Biscuits (Graham crackers – semi sweet cookies)
125g / 4.5oz of Melted Butter
300ml / 11oz of Thick Cream
500g / 1lb of Soft Cream Cheese
125g / 4.5oz of Superfine Powdered / Icing Sugar
2 teaspoons of Gelatin in a little hot Water
1/2 a cup of Baileys Irish Cream
1/4 of a cup of Grated Chocolate
