A list of the most interesting places in Ireland, according to users of Google Street View, has revealed by the internet giant.
It may not come as a surprise to find that many of the places are in the capital city, but some of the places might not be particularly what you might expect, considering all the attractions Ireland has to offer.
For example, of the eight places in Dublin that made the top ten list, perhaps Dublin Airport isn’t exactly what visitors are there to see.
Nevertheless, it made was named the third most interesting place in Ireland.
That can probably be explained by the way Google came up with their rankings.
The search engine giant created the list by logging the places that its visitors had checked out on Google Street View.
Therefore, many people visiting the city may wish to checkout the airport on Google Street view to help them get their bearings a little when they arrive.
They will probably make a few other searches of attractions they would like to visit while in Ireland – but after the airport, everyone’s holiday will be different.
Clearly enough people have done just that for Google’s algorithm thinks that Dublin Airport is the third most interesting place in the country.
Meanwhile sites such as the beautiful Ha’penny Bridge – let alone so many attractions in the rest of the country – have failed to make the top ten.
Ten most search places on Google Street view
1 – Dublin Castle
2 – Billy Byrne 1798 Monument, Co Wicklow
3 – Dublin Airport
4 – Phoenix Park, Dublin
5 – The Temple Bar pub, Dublin
6 – Guinness Storehouse, Dublin
7 – Aviva Stadium, Dublin
