Irish star Sinéad O’Connor has put her seaside home on the market for €950,000.
That can be considered a bargain when the singer bought the property for €1.7m back in 2007, shortly before the global economic crash.
Regardless of the knockdown price, both the home and location are extremely desirable, and it would be a great buy for anyone fortunate enough to have that kind of money to spend.
The semi-detached property, Montebello on Strand Road in Bray has six bedrooms, four bathrooms and has panoramic views of the Bray seafront and promenade, as well as Dalkey Island.
Montebello dates back to the 1860s. The period home has wonderful character and includes many original features such as fireplaces, staircase, hardwood floors, cornicing and window shutters.
It is 345 sq.m and other features include marble fireplace, sash windows and high ceilings throughout the house.
The home is being sold by REA Forkin.
The listing on the property said: “The property is one of the finest period properties to be brought to the market in Bray in recent times.”
O’Connor had been living in the USA before the coronavirus outbreak but returned home to spend the lockdown in Ireland.
The star spent some time with her family working on the garden of the property before putting it on the market.
The home is in a highly sort after location, walking distance from the sea as well as a host of popular cafes, bars and restaurants.
