Is this the perfect getaway for a night or two in Ireland?

You and your friends could have an entire castle to yourselves in the beautiful setting of Galway.

You and your friends should just rent an Irish castle for the weekend

Kilcolgan Castle is the perfect place for a night away with friends. Your ‘super-host’ Karen will have all your needs catered for and be on hand to help or advise with any issues regarding the residence, or the surrounding attractions.

However, Karen has her own separate sleeping quarters and will leave your party to enjoy the privacy and luxury of the castle.

A night in Kilcolgan costs around €350 which sounds a little pricey, but if you are one of five friends sharing then it is only around €70 each for the night.

And you do have an Irish castle all to yourselves!

There is plenty of room for five guests inside the castle, with two bedrooms and one and a half (no? we’re not sure what that means either!) bathrooms available.

Kilcolgan Castle is available to hire through AirBnB. They describe the property as:

“Kilcolgan Castle offers guests privacy and advice on touring the area if wanted. Close to the Burren, Connemara, Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher for day trips. Short drive to Galway City. Homely atmosphere where you have full use of our spacious kitchen and all rooms but ours.

We also have a farmyard cottage on grounds suitable for five extra guests if needed.”
