An Irish golfer hit what will surely be a once in a lifetime shot over the weekend, and we can only be thankful that his friend recorded it on camera.
“Did you get that on video? Oh, Jesus Christ. Oh, that’s going to be viral, you’re going to be famous.”
Those were the words of one of the hysteric bystanders as they watched their friend – who wishes to remain anonymous, swing his club at his ball which was perched on the edge of a pond.
The video was taken by Damian Morrissey, who was enjoying a round on the world famous Esker Hills Golf Course in Co Offaly.
Hi friend found himself in a precarious position on one hole, with his ball resting right on the edge of the pond.
Determined not to take a dropped shot, he took of his shoes and socks, rolled up his trouser legs and waded into the shallows to play his shot.
