A hotel in one of Ireland’s most stunning regions has been named as one of the best resorts in the world.
The Preferred Hotels & Resorts Legend Collection has added the Europe Hotel to its prestigious list – which includes fewer than 100 of the world’s most luxurious resorts and hotels.
The Europe Hotel in the heart of Killarney is on the famous ‘Ring of Kerry’ – a region in the South West of the country famous for its stunning scenery and natural beauty.
The hotel is situated besides Lough Leana in Killarney National Park.
To qualify for the Preferred Hotels & Resorts Legend Collection list a hotel must meet a certain standard of excellence. It must have also featured in ‘world’s best’ lists from the top travel publications in the world.
The Europe Hotel is a five star resort and certainly reaches the expected levels of excellence.
The hotel’s website says: “The hotel is beautifully located overlooking the world famous Lakes of Killarney.
“It is in the beautiful grounds of this luxurious and decadent spa resort that the waters of Killarney’s largest lake, Loch Léin, reflect the wilderness of Co. Kerry’s magnificent McGillycuddy Reeks mountain range in the scenic South West of Ireland. Guests can relax and unwind by enjoying a wide range of wonderful leisure activities on the extensive grounds.”
Michael Brennan is the Managing Director of Killarney Hotels.
He said: “We were thrilled to receive the news that we are an approved member of the ‘Legend’ Collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts properties. We are immensely proud of this honour, and amongst the incredible company of less than 100 hotels worldwide.
“It is a testament to our exceptional team who are always striving to deliver excellence, and in particular to the Liebherr Family for their dedication, commitment and continuous investment in The Europe Hotel & Resort, and Killarney Hotels Ltd.”
