Irish boxing world champion Katie Taylor has announced she will be posting a series of videos to her social media pages to help people stay fit during the coronavirus pandemic.
Much of the world is on currently on lockdown as countries are battling to keep the spread of the virus under control.
As important as this measure is in order to keep the public safe, one of the downsides is that many people are already starting to worry about losing their fitness.
Gyms and leisure centres are closed, and many people are not sure about how to stay in shape now that their routines have been interrupted indefinitely.
Thankfully, many fitness professionals have stared to give classes online to help their clients get their regular exercise.
Now Olympic gold medallist and professional undisputed lightweight world champion Taylor has announced she will be posting drills for fans to try on her social media pages.
This is great news for boxing fans. After all, who better to train with than Taylor who is arguably Ireland’s greatest ever sports star.
The Co Wicklow fighter said: “Hi all, I will be posting a series of boxing circuits over the next few weeks that you can do at home without equipment.
“Here is the first instalment. I hope you enjoy it. Stay safe, healthy and strong.”
The first video features Taylor doing the following exercises; squats, punch outs, lunges, press-ups, left-hop punches, right-hop punches, tricep dips, tuck jumps, leg raises, fast-feet shuffles, get-ups, squat punches, slips, high-knees, 1-2 in-outs, and long jumps.
