The Cuban Missile Crisis was prominent at the time of one encounter. Alford claiming Kennedy said to her; “I’d rather have my kids red than dead.”

The last meeting between them came just a week before JFK was assassinated in November 1963,
“He took me in his arms for a long embrace and said, ‘I wish you were coming with me to Texas.’ And then he added, ‘I’ll call you when I get back.’ I was overcome with sudden sadness. ‘Remember, Mr. President, I’m getting married.’
“‘I know that,’ he said, and shrugged. ‘But I’ll call you anyway.’”

Wife Jackie never acknowledged affair

Alford spent time in the Whitehouse as an intern, and she and Kennedy became close. She was invited to join Kennedy for a swim in the White House pool.

Kennedy took her for a tour of the White House and she lost her virginity to him in his wife, Jackie’s bedroom.
She continued to visit him after she had returned home, claiming her travel arrangements were arranged by JFK, with her travelling under his pseudonym, Michael Carter.

Jackie, the late president’s wife, has never publicly accepted this affair. After his death, there were many rumours with JFK being linked to several women. Jackie did admit she knew there were other women, but gave no more details on the subject.
