How about this for your next girly getaway then ladies? An 80m super-yacht fitted out with extravagant interiors and lavish luxuries, and all designed for the tastes of women.
Well Monaco-based designer Lidia Bersani has created exactly that – La Belle, a luxury boat designed with female interests in mind.
Bersani said: “Today’s luxury yachts are primarily focusing on the entertainment and sports of men, with or without their girlfriends. La Belle will be like a boudoir for women instead of a den for men.”
La Belle certainly will buck the trend of modern high-end boats being littered with gadgets that would appeal to males, with sports rooms, games and beer kegs regular onboard features.
Instead La Belle is decorated with gold mosaics, Swarovski crystal chandeliers, precious stones and bespoke furniture. The luxury yacht is 80m in length with an elevator to move guests up and down between the five decks. It also features six cabins that sleep two people each, a library with a fireplace, a gym and an on-deck hot-tub.
It’s an ideal place to sample how the other half lives, with luxury spa areas, beauty treatments, masaage and aromatherapies and much more.
It looks like La Belle is the place to be the next time you feel like having a weekend break with the girls – although not the kind of yacht you’re likely to see cruising along the River Shannon or sailing around Galway Bay.
You will need deep pockets of course, as Bersani added: “The idea is to build the most luxurious yacht in the world, it will be not cheap.”
