An Oireachtas banking inquiry was hamstrung by the “absurd” demands of current legislation, a Socialist Party TD has warned. Joe Higgins, who indicated on Sunday that he could not endorse the inquiry’s contentious draft report, also said there should never be another probe under the 2013 Act.
