A multimillion-euro drugs haul has been made by gardai.
About 300 kilos of cannabis resin, eight kilos of cannabis and one kilo of cocaine were discovered during a raid on a house in Donaghmede Park in north Dublin on Saturday evening.
Gardai said the drugs have an estimated value of about 2.1 million euro.
Two men, aged 25 and 52, were arrested at the scene and taken in for questioning under section two of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act at Coolock and Clontarf Garda stations.
The drugs will be forensically examined and tested.
Officers from Coolock backed up by the Garda’s local street crime unit and the Dublin divisional task force were involved in the raid and search at about 7.30pm yesterday.
It is the second massive drugs seizure in the capital in the last week at a time of heightened tensions among organised crime gangs.
Last Tuesday about 13 kilos of cocaine, estimated to be worth more than 930,000 euro, was found in a house in Tallaght.
