The best Irish pubs all over the world have been named

The best Irish pubs in the world have been announced at a glamorous ceremony at Galway’s Galmont Hotel.

The Irish Pubs Global Awards recognised pubs not just at home but on every continent in the world.

Irish pubs are a global success story with at least one in every major city in Europe and North America – and even further afield.

The Central pub in Navan was named the Best Cocktail Experience in Ireland

For Irish people abroad they can be home from home, while many locals also enjoy the atmosphere of an Irish pub.

The awards honoured excellence in Irish pubs from North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East & The Pacific.

Every continent had a number of categories including Best Irish Whiskey Experience, Best Entertainment Experience and Best Food Experience. There also individual categorise for Best Chef and Best Bar Person.

The biggest winner of the night was the New York bar, Tir Na N’Óg, which was named Irish pub of the Year in both the North American and Global categories.
