A young Irish girl had her Christmas wish come true when her big sister flew home from Australia to celebrate the festive period with her family.
Ellen King Keane, 12, from Dublin wrote her letter to Santa asking if he could make it possible for big sister Leah Louise to come home for the holidays.
Amazingly, Santa made it so.
He must have received Ellen’s letter. She wrote: “I want to make a wish that my sister will make it home for Christmas.”
News travelled across to the other side of the world in Sydney, Australia where big sister Leah Louise, 24, was riding home in a taxi.
She said: “When my little sister made a wish that I’d make it home for Christmas, I had to make it my big sister duty to make that wish come true.
“I burst into tears in my uber home from work because the letter was so cute. The poor driver didn’t know what to do.”
She managed to get herself some time off from her job in a bar and caught a flight home to be re-united with Ellen.
Leah, Ellen and the rest of the family will spend Christmas day together at their Nanny’s house.
Leah explained: “I’m only home for two weeks, I fly back on the 29th. I need to be back in work for New Year’s Eve as it’s such a busy night for us.
“I had planned to come home for good but changed my mind after I was offered a promotion in work.”
Take a look at the heat-warming moment the sisters were re-united.
