Irish airline Ryanair showed United Airlines how to treat customers in an uplifting video that has gone viral.
The budget airline has always had a flair for getting a bit of free publicity and this video could be their most positive ploy yet.
The 2017 video sees two members of the cabin crew approach a French passenger and start to question him about his carryon luggage.
The item in question was an accordion – or ‘squeeze box’ as it is referred to by the cabin crew.
The crew member said to the passenger: “You’ve brought a squeeze box on an Irish charter?”
The man seems to think he is in trouble as he initially struggles to grasp what is going on. The crew member says; “You’re not playing it. Why aren’t you playing it?
“This is an Irish company and you have to play the accordion.”
The penny drops for the passenger and he realises he isn’t in trouble and the crew were having a bit of fun.
He then took out his accordion and started to play a beautiful version of the classic song ‘Dirty Old Town’.
It wasn’t long before the whole plane, including the cabin crew and passengers were clapping along.
It is a stark contrast to United Airlines, who made headlines for all the wrong reasons after staff aggressively dragged a passenger off the plane after the flight had been overbooked.
