Ryan Reynolds hopes his Irish heritage can land him a role in Game of Thrones

Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds says that he hopes he can take advantage of his Irish heritage to get a part in Game of Thrones.
The Deadpool star is a huge fan of the show and joked that he would stop at nothing to get a part – even push out Irish actors Liam Cunningham (Davos) or Aidan Gillen (Littlefinger).

Although Reynolds is Canadian, he can trace his roots back to Galway and believes that as much of the show is filmed in Ireland, he would fit in perfectly.

He said: “It’s no secret, I’m a Game of Thrones nut. I’m an addict.
“There’s nothing I won’t do to get my next fix. No boundary of self-respect, I’ll do whatever it is I have to do to have more.
“Would I want a part? On one hand, I’m a fan so I like my outside perspective into that world but on the other, f*** yeah, how ridiculously insane would that be?”
He joked that the Irish actors had better watch their backs in real life as well as the show as he is coming for them.
He added; “I’m not sure how or where I’d fit in. Are there any new parts? Maybe I could just take over [one of the Irish roles].
“There are some amazing Irish actors, and I’m Irish, I’ve got that rugged pallor for maybe Littlefinger or Davos. I could see that.
“Or maybe I could be a long lost Lannister?”
