US businessman stunned by beauty of Donegal
A US businessman was stunned by the beautiful landscape of Co Donegal as he viewed it from the sky as his plane took off to take him home.
Boston man Patrick Bench said he ‘had the pleasure of being in Derry and Donegal for business meetings all week’.
However, although Patrick knew he was in a beautiful city, he wasn’t expecting the breath-taking views form the air.
Once his business trip had ended, Patrick had to catch a flight from Donegal to Dublin, before boarding another plane to take him back across the Atlantic.
He said: “This was my first time taking the Donegal to Dublin flight. This was the most beautiful landscape take-off I had ever seen.”
Patrick recorded his view and has posted the video online and it has been viewed thousands of times and picked up by some of the Irish media.
According to Patrick, the video has received plenty of attention in America. He told the Irish Independent: “I have just arrived back home to Boston and the video was a big hit here too.”
You can take a look at Patrick’s stunning views during his take-off below.
This is not the first time the beauty of the Donegal landscape has been praised.
It was recently named the world’s second most scenic airport in a poll, only being beaten to the number one spot by the Caribbean island of Saba.
