Take a look at this fantastic video which features a stunning light show in Dublin for St Patrick’s Day.
The show was called Orchestra of Light and featured Irish imagery that will have you beaming with pride.
Unfortunately, 2021 is the second year in a row that celebrations have had to be cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic.
While people can’t get out and celebrate together in person, many are instead enjoying a virtual festival that began on March 12th and culminated on the big day March 17.
March 16, the eve of Ireland’s national day saw Dublin city center illuminated with a spectacular light show.
The show featured images of musicians and animations of Irish dancers. There were Irish symbols such as the Triquetra and a flag made of shamrocks that surrounded a heart.
It also offered hope for the future when the pandemic is over and we can get out and celebrate properly once again.
It was a spectacular spectacle that showed the dots of light start to float up into the sky before forming the various images that followed.
Many Dublin landmarks could be seen in the distance and the show was made all the more stunning by the reflection of the lights up above in the River Liffey.
It ended with the words I Love Ireland and the overall messages of love and hope will be enough to give the biggest hugs to your friends and family – once social distancing measures are lifted that is.
The wonderful show was created by St Patrick’s Day Festival, along with Tourism Ireland, Dublin City Council, Intel and Actavo Events.
