A wonderful video of an Irishman falling into an uncontrollable fit of laughter is just the tonic you need to fend off those January blues.
Vincent McDonnell of Co Mayo was recording a video message for his son David who lives in Australia.
David was celebrating his 40th birthday, and if Vincent was trying to pass on some wisdom to his son on reaching the milestone, he certainly struggled to get past the first sentence.
In fact, every time he composed himself to start again, he could barely finish the word ‘Hello’.
The video was recorded by Vincent’s younger son Paul, who was also in a helpless fit of laughter – perhaps the pair of them were equally to blame.
At one point Vincent managed to get as far as saying: “Hello David, how are you?” before he and Paul cracked up again – it was as far as he got.
The video was posted to Twitter and has gone viral, being viewed over 1.5 million times.
Vincent’s laughter is infectious, and it is highly unlikely you will be able to get to the end of the video without bursting out laughing yourself.
Paul tweeted: “Dad had to record a 20 sec video over Christmas for my brothers 40th as he lives in Oz, it took over 7 minutes because he couldn’t get past the word “Hello” without cracking up, if you need cheering up or just want a good laugh, watch it.”
Take a look at the video below.
