Irish pub release brilliant Christmas advert

Christmas advert from JJ Gough's Singing Pub

With Christmas fast approaching, it seems that businesses both large and small are releasing their own heart-warming adverts.

Of course, the huge brands such as John Lewis have been famous for it for years and have the budget to do whatever they can imagine.

Thankfully, modern technology is making it easier for smaller businesses to compete and many are responding by showing that with a little creativity, they can compete with the major companies.

Christmas advert from JJ Gough's Singing Pub

One smaller business leading the charge is JJ Gough’s Singing Pub in Banagher, Co. Offaly.

The pub have produced a Christmas advert that is both innovative and moving – and modern (it features a drone).

It starts off with a grandmother climbing a ladder to decorate the tree in her front room.

She takes a brake from decorating to check out what’s happening on social media on her phone. She sees a drone carrying a pint of Guinness on JJ Gough’s Instagram account.

Meanwhile, in the pub, the barman checks his phone and then pours a pint of the black stuff. He attaches it to a drone, which flies across town to deliver the Guinness to the old lady.

The advert is called ‘Drone Alone’ and was shot by Ger Hough, in association with IDrone.ie. It features the song Lonely Avenues by Ultan Conlon.

As well as being moving, the advert also includes a healthy dose of good humour.
