Who’s number would the Irish like to have in their mobile phone?
If you could add anyone to your contacts list in your mobile phone who would you pick?
That was the question put to the Irish public by network provider Tesco, and chat show king Graham Norton came out on top.
The fun-loving presenter was chosen by 28% of Irish people, a long way clear of fellow funnyman Dara O’Briain who came second with 16% of votes.
Those two would certainly be good for the craic.
US chat show host and comedienne Ellen DeGeneres was a surprisingly popular choice in Ireland, and golden couple Brian O’Driscoll and Amy Huberman made up the top five.
Tesco also found that men are more likely to call in sick after their work Christmas party, but women are more likely to send a message they regret.
Overall, only 5% of people admitted they would pull a sickie after their Christmas, 7% of men and 4% of women.
Having one too many during the festive fun leads to 7% of women sending a text message they wished they hadn’t, compared to 6% of men.
That trend is also slightly more common in Dublin than the rest of the country.
