A stunning video has been created that showcases the beauty and magnificence of St Patrick’s Cathedral as you have never seen it before.
Sky Pixels Ireland recorded the video using a drone camera. It enabled them to capture the cathedral in all its glory from every height and angle.
The result is a fantastic video that will showcase to the world the incredible intricacies and detail that make up the cathedral.
St Patrick’s is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Dublin. It is built opposite the site that St Patrick baptised converts to Catholicism on his visit to Dublin according to legend.
The parish church of Saint Patrick on this site was granted collegiate status in 1191. The present building was built in 1220 and granted cathedral status in 1224.
It is one of the capital’s iconic buildings. Each year thousands of visitors marvel at the beauty of the cathedral from both inside and out.
Now, this video shows it in a whole new light. It captures the vibrant colours of the stained glass window, the elegant archways and the religious figures that are dotted about the cathedral.
The drone camera can record from any height and angle, and remains perfectly still to produce fantastic footage.
The pictures video are complemented by a haunting soundtrack of the cathedral’s choir performing a beautiful rendition of Molly Malone. The choir sing beautifully and set the scene for the tour of every corner of the cathedral.
