A 12-year-old Dublin boy absolutely wowed the judges on The Voice Kids back in 2017, with his beautiful rendition of One Direction’s Story of My Life.
Devon Browne travelled over to the UK to compete in the singing competition and his blind audition shows he has every chance of going all the way.
He showed little nerves as he stepped on to the stage in front of the live studio audience.
The three judges, the Black Eyed Peas’ Will.i.am, Mcfly’s Danny Jones, and pop princess Pixie Lott all sat with their backs to the stage so that the contestant could be judged on their voice alone, and not their appearance.
As soon as Devon started singing the judges the visibly impressed, and it wasn’t long before Pixie Lott pressed her buzzer to say she was interested in having Devon on her team.
The crowd were thrilled to listen to Devon sing and clapped along to the music to show their support.
Lead judge Will.i.am also pressed his button to try and get Devon on his team, but he chose to join Pixie Lott and have her as his mentor.
Devon was supported by his mother mother Kim, even though she had just given birth to his baby sister Bella just five days ago.
When presenter Emma Willis asked Devon about how he feels about his new baby sister he replied: “She smells lovely.
He also said he enjoys singing because it makes him feel “cool and all”.
His performance was certainly pretty cool and has won him plenty of fans both back home and abroad.
