A fan of Irish fighter Conor McGregor claimed his own bit of the limelight by serenading female UFC star Holly Holm in front of thousands of people.
Most Irish sports fans will know, The Notorious cemented his place in UFC history on Saturday night when he beat ten-years-undefeated champion Jose Aldo – in just 13 seconds! McGregor can now rightfully claim to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
The media frenzy surrounding the Dubliner has been incredible, but one of his fans was happy to claim his own moment of fame.
He stole the show at a question and answer session with female UFC star Holly Holm. The fan was handed the microphone and told Holm that his question was very serious. He then burst into song with an impressive rendition of Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.
The whole crowd got behind the performance and sang along in the background.
Holm giggled nervously as she was being serenaded before admitting “that was impressive”. The host of the Q&A exclaimed “that’s the first time that has happened” and told the fan: “You need to be singing somewhere in Las Vegas, you’re really good!”
