Colin Farrell considers taking the Pope out for a free kebab

Hollywood star Colin Farrell has revealed he could take the Pope for a free kebab at his favourite establishment in Ireland.

In what is presumably an unusual perk of the job, the Dublin actor piled on the pounds as he underwent a body transformation for his role as the Penguin in ‘The Batman’ movie, starring Robert Pattinson.

Farrell appeared on the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ show to promote his 2020 movie “The Gentleman” and told the host that he had been given a ‘black card’ from kebab chain Abrakebabra.

Farrell used to have a gold card from the restaurant but said he is now the only person in the world to have a black card.

He told Kimmel: “I had done an interview for this kebab shop in Aer Lingus magazine which is our national airline, and because they read my interview, they gave me the gold card.

“But then, I came on the lovely Ellen Show and came on your lovely show and basically I took the thing international.

“So then I got a call that they had printed the black card, and no-one has a black card, the Pope doesn’t have one.

“So I could bring the Pope for a free kebab because that is what I can get.

“With the gold card I could feed myself for free, and with the black card I could feed the two of us, or whoever I want.”

Farrell then showed his card to Kimmel. It read: “Absolutely no restrictions apply to Colin Farrell, the original gold card holder.”

Farrell added: “I was so charmed. I can’t tell you how giddy I was when that came in the post.”
