We can all remember waking up when we were little and trying to get the day off school.
One young man tried to charm his mother with a delightful note convincing her she should let him stay at home, and he even threw a little sweetener in to seal the deal.
Rachel Duffy posted the note written by her son on Facebook, and it has attracted plenty of attention and laughs.
The note reads: “All this (and more) if you don’t bring me to school today.”
And taped to the note was a crisp €5 note.
Rachel’s young man is clearly both a charmer and a negotiator and already has the skills to go far in life.
Rachel explained that he wanted to miss school so that he could avoid playing hockey in PE.
“He HATES hockey” she explained.
Rachel didn’t reveal if the note had been enough to win her over and let her son have the day off, but it certainly brought a smile to her face and all those who have viewed it online.
