A group of Irish singers have recorded a cover version of Adele’s megahit ‘Hello’ with the lyrics translated into Irish.
The video comes from TG Lurgan, who are a Galway based group, who have created several videos of popular songs translated into Irish.
In the past they have given the Irish language treatment to famous acts such as Justin Bieber, Avicii and Bastille.
Now they have turned their attention to British superstar Adele. The song ‘Hello’ was a huge hit for Adele and reached number one in charts all over the world.
However, we think that TG Lurgan have made it sound even better by translating it into Irish.
Singer Shannon Bryan does a fantastic job and the video is superb, showing Bryan singing the song, supported by a large backing choir and some dancers.
It is part shot in black and white and part in muted colours which suits the atmosphere created by the sophisticated song and ancient language.
