Irish shepherd’s pie is a dish that has been enjoyed in Ireland for generations. It is popular across the world to this day.
There are countless recipes for a good shepherd’s pie. In many cases, it depends on what vegetables are available. Of course, every cook will have his or her own favourite ingredients and way of making the meal.
Shepherd’s pie is based on lamb, potatoes and plenty of tasty and healthy vegetables. Most people will always include carrots, peas and onions in their pies.
Cottage pie is a very similar meal, except that you would use minced meat rather than lamb.
