Hollywood actor Paul Rudd has called Ireland the ‘best place on earth’ and described how the locals played a trick on him when he wore the shirt of an Irish sporting hero in a small town in Donegal.
The star of the Anchorman movies spoke about Ireland when he appeared on the David Letterman Show on American TV.
Rudd was in Ireland with a group of American friends attending a bachelor party. He said he loved the place and told Letterman, “hands down, it’s the greatest country”. The comments got loud cheers from Irish Americans in the audience.
He then goes on to say what happened when he went drinking in the town of Killybegs wearing the football shirt of one of Ireland’s sporting heroes.
You can watch the video to see how the Irish gave Rudd a bit of a fright.
