Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a dissident republican shot dead while sitting in his car on a suburban street last month.
The suspects, aged in their 30s, were detained during early morning Garda raids in north and west Dublin by investigators probing the killing of Vincent Ryan.
One man is being held under section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act at Finglas Garda Station.
The other is detained under section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
A massive security operation last week surrounded the funeral of the dissident republican whose murdered brother was a Real IRA leader.
He was gunned down on McKee Road in Finglas, north Dublin, on February 29, four years on from the killing of his brother Alan in a feud with a drugs gang.
His coffin was draped in a Tricolour as it was carried shoulder high by pallbearers, including some of his three surviving brothers, from the family home in Donaghmede.
Dozens of armed gardai closely monitored events outside and along the route from the Ryan family home to Fingal Cemetery.
Vinnie, as he was known, was 25.
He was shot while sitting in a white Volkswagen Golf outside a house where his girlfriend was with his baby daughter Phoenix, now just six weeks old.
