A range of Government websites were shut down for up to 12 hours in the latest in a series of cyber attacks. The distributed denial of service (DDoS) targeted the Department of Justice, the Courts Service, the Oireachtas and the Central Statistics Office among others.

A mother who disappeared with her week-old baby has been found safe and has asked for privacy. Paige Holland, who also goes by the name Abbie Goodier or Paige Goodier, and her daughter Nevaeh Goodier or Tighe were found in Tipperary, Gardai said.
