Ireland’s first ever marriage proposal planning company claims it can take the stress out of popping the question.
Propose2Me.com can organise everything from hot air balloon flights and helicopter rides to scouting out private picnic locations, leaving the nervous proposer with just four little words, “Will you marry me”, to worry about.
Founder Arlene Malone, from Co Louth, said: “Wedding planners have been around for ages, helping make the couple’s day go as smoothly as possible, and nowadays a proposal is also an event; something that’s remembered forever and therefore it needs to be perfect.
“Until now there was never anyone to help spouses with the most stressful start of the whole charade – the perfect proposal.”
The online service offers a range of packages to suit different budgets.
They include the 550 euro (£338) “musical proposal” where a favourite tune is played by a musician of choice as the proposer goes down on bended knee.
For the more extravagant, there is the 2,650 euro (£1,869) “surprise sail boat proposal” during which a flag with the question “Will You Marry Me?” is unveiled.
Champagne, an overnight hotel stay and a photographer to capture the moment is also included.
Mrs Malone said: “Nowadays it seems people are time poor and that is where Propose2Me.com can help.
“We will work within a client’s budget – whatever that may be.
“Our service is totally bespoke and tailored to the particular desires of the spouse to ensure a highly personalised service.”
In Belfast, Propose2Me.com has teamed up the Merchant Hotel where offers include a private dinner in the rooftop garden or a candlelit room setting.
Choosing the ring can also be taken care of through the city’s high end jewellers, Lunn’s.
The website boasts: “There will be no mishaps, no mistakes and no worries.
“On your behalf we flawlessly execute the event – behind the scenes of course – let’s just hope the answer is ‘yes’.”
