An Irish wedding reception was brought to life by a brilliant best man speech with a personalised version of the classic folk song Whiskey in the Jar.
John Moore stood up in front of the guests at the wedding of his best friend and delivered a great performance of the Dubliners track – with new lyrics to embarrass the groom of course!
The Derryman did a great job in getting the wedding guests laughing and getting the party started.
He explained he had chosen Whiskey in the Jar as his song because although the guests may not know the words to his new verses, they could certainly sing along with the chorus.
He then went ahead and told the story of how his friends met and fell in love, and how they had ended up as husband and wife.
The performance had the guests in stitches as John mixed comedy and sentiment perfectly, before wishing the happy couple every happiness in married life.
