A video showing off the stunning scenery around Wicklow Mountains has gone viral and has surely had people across the world longing to visit.
The footage was shot by SkycamIreland. It was taken on the hiking trails along the mountains including the Spinc trail and Glenealo Valley.
It features views from the top of a hill looking down onto a lake below and ahead to the blue sky on the horizon.
Other clips show the wildlife walking along the rocky surface, misty clouds floating over a stream and the tall trees reflecting elegantly in the lake below.
Throughout the video the dazzling sunlight was making the water glisten.
The striking views are accompanied by music that movie fans will recognise as the dramatic score from the Jurassic Park films – and the mountains definitely do justice to the music even without any dinosaurs!
If this video doesn’t make you want to take a walk through the mountains and hill tops then nothing will!
The Wicklow Mountains are close to another famous Irish site – Glendalough, which is not only a beauty spot featuring lakes and wildlife but also a historical site with several monuments of early Christianity.
No wonder the area is one of the most popular for tourists visiting Ireland.
