The best hotels and restaurants in Ireland have been announced at a prestigious ceremony at Lyrath Estate, Kilkenny.
The Keeling’s Farm Fresh Gold Medal Awards are highly respected within Ireland’s hospitality industry. Keeling’s reward excellence in the hospitality and catering industries.
One of this year’s big winners was Ashford Castle in Mayo, which was named Ireland’s best five-star hotel.
On the other side of the country there were big wins for Kelly’s Resort Hotel in Rosslare, Wexford which was named as the people’s choice of the nation’s favourite place to stay after winning the public vote.
Mount Juliet Estate in neighbouring Kilkenny was awarded multiple titles – best fine dining, best four-star hotel and the ‘overall supreme winner’.
Ireland’s best wine experience was awarded to Hayfield Manor Hotel, Cork
The Europe Hotel, Kerry was Ireland’s finest five star spa, while the top four star spa was Galgorm Resort & Spa, Antrim.
The Westbury, Dublin was the best city hotel and Tralee’s Ballygarry House was named as the best wedding venue.
The best country house & guest house experience went to Castlewood House in Dingle. The Dunloe Hotel in Kerry was named as the best family friendly hotel.
Keep a look out for Pickle Restaurant, Dublin, which was named Ireland’s best newcomer.
