After a tough day at work most of us just want to get home, get some dinner and relax in front of the telly.
However, passengers on the number 16 bus in Dublin on Sunday night were sent home with a spring in their step and a song in their heart after an impromptu performance by a Swedish choir livened up their journey.
The choir, who are in Dublin for an official performance, decided to brighten the mood on their journey with an unofficial performance.
They sang the popular anti-war song Down By the Riverside quite brilliantly with great harmonies and backing vocals complimenting the main melody.
The choir are clearly well rehearsed in that particular song as they all joined in with a faultless rendition.
The lead singer even invited his fellow passengers to take part with one verse when he altered the lyrics to: “I want to hear people from Ireland singing… down by the riverside!”
The performance was filmed by several people on the bus. One recording was uploaded on to Facebook by passenger Angela Mullin. She posted the video with the comment: “So a Swedish choir breaks into song on the 16 bus…”
Take a look at the video below.

The clip is expected to make a big impression on social media over the next few days. One user has already posted: “What a change from bad phone music! It’s so lovely.”
Although it doesn’t happen on every journey, impromptu musical performances are not unheard of in Ireland. Earlier this year a young man entertained his fellow bus passengers with a great exhibition of his skills on the uilleann pipes.
