Irish star Sinéad O’Connor could be about to find love as she has revealed she is set to appear on TV series First Dates.
First Dates is a Channel Four reality show that, as you might expect, sees single people get partnered up and taken to a London restaurant for a first date.
The pairs are then interviewed and asked whether they would be interested in meeting up again for date number two.
Despite the simple format, the show has been very popular since its launch in 2013.
An appearance from the Nothing Compares 2 U star would undoubtedly prove to be a big ratings winner.
O’Connor revealed that it was her daughter’s idea for her to go on the show and even filled out the application on her behalf.
She tweeted: “Ha! My daughter just completed an application for me for First Dates : ).”

Her fans were delighted with the news with one joking: “Might get to eat your dinner in a fancy restaurant.”
Another said: “Imagine. Just imagine 34-year-old Barry from Mullingar in a check shirt and denims looking for a strong woman who knows her own mind and BOOM, in walks the most iconic rockstar of all time.”
A third person added: “Awh that’s funny. Can you imagine the lads face when you walk in the door.”
Some of her male fans seemed interested in taking part themselves.
One said: “Sinead I’ll take you out for a nice carvery. Just say the word x.”
Another added: “Well dear you’ve convinced me to sign up! see you on there!”
Good luck to Sinéad – not that she’ll need it, as one fan said: “You’re going to get 1,000’s of date offers!”
