Irish golfer Shane Lowry celebrated his Open victory by singing Fields of Athenry in a pub filled with his closest friends and family.
The Co Offaly star won the prestigious golfing major at a canter, finishing a solid six shot clear of his nearest rival Tommy Fleetwood.
It was a huge achievement for the 32-year-old, and the first time he has captured one of the four majors in golf.
So, after the greatest day of his professional career, it seemed only right that Shane should indulge in a pint or two to mark the occasion.
The atmosphere was visibly electric in the bar, as everybody joined in a stirring rendition of Ireland’s unofficial anthem.
Lowry was the man of the moment and stood on his chair to salute his loved ones and lead them in song.
He was handed his newly acquired Claret Jug, and a pint of beer and held them both aloft in celebration of his incredible victory.
The special moment was recorded and has been published online and has been viewed and shared by thousands of well-wishers.

Later into the evening the celebrations were showing no signs of slowing down. Lowry was dragged onto the stage with the band and performed a rendition of the popular folk song My Little Honda 50.
Who knows how long into the night the party went on, it certainly looks like a great craic. Congratulations to Shane Lowry, a well-deserved party.
