A youngster from Dublin has been causing a stir on a German talent show as he lives up to the title of the series ‘Superkids’.
Ciarán Duffy is one of 36 children to have made it onto the show which showcases extraordinary talents of ‘Superkids’ from around the world aged 3-14.
Ciarán Duffy is well known in Ireland for his freestyle soccer skills and is even known as the ‘mini-Messi’. Now he is showcasing his talents on the continent.
The German audience have been blown away by 12-year-old Ciarán’s skills – and they know a thing or two about soccer as their country are the reigning world champions.
He strode out onto the stage in his Ireland soccer shirt looking determined and confident. He then began his intricate routine which brilliantly showcased his freestyle skills.
He didn’t confine himself to simply displaying his talents using a soccer ball. To make things a bit more difficult he used tennis balls and mini basketballs as well.
The talent judges and the live studio audience were hugely impressed. Ciarán and his family were delighted with the experience.
Ciarán’s father Michael said: “It was an amazing experience for Ciarán. The stage was out of this world and everyone was great there. The talents on the show were just incredible.
“It’s great for him to be chosen out of all the kids in the world in around that age group and to be part of such a massive production.”
