Dave McGinn was delighted when his mother got a smartphone for her birthday as it meant it would be easier to keep in touch with her. He immediately added her to the family’s whatsapp group and sent her a message to that effect.

He didn’t expect the comeback, with mammy making her position in the family perfectly clear.
