An Irishman stole the show at Hugh Jackman’s gig ‘The Man. The Music. The Show.’ at the 3 Arena in Dublin by joining the star on stage for a spot of dad-dancing.

Tom Jones was invited on stage to join the Hollywood star who had spotted him dancing in the crowd.

While the ‘Wolverine’ star loved Tom’s dancing, he wasn’t so impressed with his trivia.

Tom told him that his famous namesake was actually called ‘Tom Woodward’, to which Jackman replied: “We don’t need to know that.”

The pair then strutted their stuff in a superb display of dad dancing, delighting the crowd as they shuffled along the stage.

Tom’s daughter Louise told the Strawberry Alarm Clock on FM104: “I rang my dad at half four that I’m after seeing these tickets, do you want to go to the show.

“We got there and we were actually in the best seats in the house near the front.”

It was from these plush seats that Tom was able to catch the eye of the Australian star.

Louise continued: “He came down off the stage and he spotted my dad and came over and started chatting with him, and once they found out his name it kind of went from there.

“He was like ‘Oh what’s your name’ and when he said ‘Tom Jones’, Hugh started laughing. My dad was like ‘I can actually prove it’ and he whipped out his business card.

“He loves to dance anyway, so he was just living his best life.

“Hugh was just asking what he does and then he was joking, ‘even the accountants in Ireland are great craic’.

“Hugh actually touched my shoulder and was joking with me, so I was happy with that.”

Jackman shared the video with his social media followers and it has been viewed over a million times.
