Visitors to the Guinness Storehouse can now get a unique souvenir in the form of a pint that features an image of their own face in the creamy head.
This souvenir is not one to take home with you though. We recommend you take a quick selfie with your pint to capture the image and then drink the delicious memento.
The latest offering from Guinness costs just €6.50 more than the price of the standard tour of the brewery.
It has been named the STOUTie, and Guinness Head of Quality and Master Brewer Stephen Kilcullen is delighted with the experiment. He said: “The iconic creamy head of Guinness is the perfect canvas for the STOUTie.
“And where else would you get this perfect pint experience other than at the Guinness Storehouse?”
Many of us will have seen flashy bartenders attempt to draw a shamrock in the head of a Guinness before, with varying levels of success.
This STOUTie is a far more sophisticated piece of artistry.
Visitors can pose for their selfie which is taken by a member of the Guinness Storehouse team.
That image is then fed into a computer and digitally recreated in the foam on the top of the pint of Guinness.
Guests are then encouraged to pose alongside their STOUTie and post the image to social media.
They should then take one last look before raising the glass to their mouths and drinking the delicious pint.
