A teenager is aiming to bring Irish dancing into the 21st century and has released a series of vines of him showing off his moves to some modern chart hits.
Owen Luebbers is a regular American teenager from Philadelphia, with an extraordinary talent. The 16-year-old is a keen Irish dancer and has shown great innovation in merging his traditional skills with the ever evolving world of modern pop music.
He has produced vines of him performing to some of the biggest hits of the last few years including Uptown Funk, by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, Pretty Girls by Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea, R Kelly’s Ignition and many more.
Many have gone viral and Owen has started to make quite a name for himself.
Owen is considered to be a rising star of Irish dancing and is ranked second in the world in his age group.
He told Buzzfeed: “I was literally dancing from the day I could walk. I’ve been taking formal lessons since I was 5, so I’ve been dancing officially for 12 years.”
