Northern Irish make-up artist Jordan Humphries has become an online star after her spoof video of Mariah Carey’s classic All I Want For Christmas went viral.
Jordan altered the lyrics to make the song more relevant to her, and instead of just wanting her loved one for Christmas, all she wants is food!
The 24-year-old sent the video to her boyfriend and expected it to be seen by just a handful of her closest friends.
However, the theme of the song has struck a chord with so many people it has now been shared thousands of times and viewed by nearly 300,000 people.
Jordan sings: “I don’t want a lot for Christmas, there is just thing I need, I don’t care about the presents, it’s all about the Christmas feed.
It’s Christmas so you know that means, I’ve locked away my skinny jeans, so what more can we do, all I want for Christmas is foooooooood!”
The Lisburn woman shows great wordplay skills as she seamlessly replaces the original lyrics with her own.
She also has a great voice and her fun personality shines through so it is no surprise that the video has proved so popular.
Other lines from Jordan’s performance include: “I know at this time of year, I’ll drink so much wine and beer, but after all that booze, all I want for Christmas is food!
“I won’t ask for much this Christmas, fancy bags or useless shoes, a packet full of salty snacks would make my Christmas dreams come true.”
Jordan said: “I send my boyfriend silly wee videos of myself singing all the time and he’s always amazed at the amount I eat.
“So when I sent him a video the other night I changed All I Want for Christmas Is You to ‘Food’ for a laugh- the whole process from getting the idea to finishing recording was about 25 minutes, tops.
“I’m delighted with everybody’s response and have received some lovely comments and messages. I just love making people laugh.”
She certainly did a great job. Take a look for yourself.
