Son sings beuatiful duet with Alzheimers suffering mother

A video of a son kneeling down beside his mother who suffers from Alzheimers and singing with her has become an online hit with millions of views.

Kelly Riddings joined his 88-year-old mother who sat with her guitar and the two sang the country song Praying by Vern Gosdin.

He recorded the performance and posted it on Facebook, where it has clocked up a staggering 17million views.

Riddings, of Dalton, Georgia, said: “Mom is 88 now. She’s in assisted living and has Alzheimer’s but she can still play and sing better than anyone in my eyes.

“I realised while I was singing with her tonight, I had never videoed us singing together, so I captured a couple of songs for posterity.

“Most days I miss her, but she always comes back to me when we sing.”

The moving story has captured the hearts of the online community with countless well-wishers praising Kelly and his mom for their beautiful relationship.
