Elderly woman dies after two-vehicle collision in Louth

An elderly woman passenger has died after her vehicle collided with another car in County Louth.
The victim, aged in her early 70s suffered serious injuries when the car she was travelling in crashed at Clonmore, Togher, on Saturday night.

She was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda but later pronounced dead. A post-mortem is to be arranged, gardai said.
The driver of her car, a woman aged in her early 60s, and the occupants of the second, a woman aged 29 and a man aged 28, were also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigating gardai appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
