Some 130 jobs are being created at a call and customer service centre.
Abtran is expanding its operations in Cork after securing new business from Sky.
The investment is being made to keep pace with the growth of the broadcaster’s business in Ireland.
In July last year, Abtran announced 100 jobs in an expansion of its consulting and technology services division at the IFSC in Dublin and it employs more than 2,000 people in Cork and the capital.

Sky has 21 million customers in Italy, Germany, Austria, the UK and Ireland.
Meanwhile, the convenience store chain Centra has revealed plans to open 16 new shops which will create 480 jobs.
The company said it had sales of 1.54 billion euro in 2015 and it has plans to invest 16 million euro on the new outlets.

There are more than 460 Centra stores in Ireland and the company employs almost 11,000 people.
